What is a Buyer Path?
A Buyer Path is your saved plan for pursuing a potential government customer—from checking the need to identifying whom to approach and recording what you learn.
Example: Exploring Navy spectrum-management support could be one Path. The awards, notices, contacts, and findings you review within it do not become separate billable Paths.

Active Paths, saved work, and billing
Is the free Path a trial?
No. One active Buyer Path is included without charge and has no trial deadline. You do not need a credit card to start.
What counts as a Buyer Path?
A Buyer Path is one saved plan for pursuing a potential government customer—from checking the need to identifying whom to approach and recording what you learn. Supporting contract records stay inside that Path; they do not each create a separate charge.
What happens when I close a Path?
Closing a Path frees one active slot and pauses new active work. Its Brief, Evidence, Buyer Map, Signals, Advisor history, contacts, notes, and findings remain saved. Closing a Path does not automatically reduce or cancel paid capacity.
Can I reopen it and keep my findings?
Yes. Reopening restores the saved Path and its history. You need an available active slot; if every slot is in use, Outerpath will ask you to close another Path or review a capacity upgrade.
When do charges start?
Charges start only when you approve paid capacity through Stripe and payment is confirmed. Paid capacity renews monthly. An increase may include a prorated charge, which Stripe shows before you confirm.
When do billing reductions take effect?
Reducing paid capacity or canceling is a separate Billing action. It normally takes effect at the end of the current billing period and cannot reduce capacity below your active Path count. Outerpath never closes Paths for you to make a reduction fit.
Are Advisor and Signals included?
Yes. Advisor and Signals are included with the self-guided product. Advisor is protected by a per-user limit of 10 requests per minute, not an unlimited-use promise. Signals requires enough sourced Path context, and a check may return no matching notice or may be incomplete if a source is unavailable.
How do I manage or cancel paid capacity?
Workspace owners can change capacity from Billing and use the Stripe customer portal to manage the subscription and payment method. Reductions and cancellation are applied at period end unless the checkout or portal states otherwise.
